Our serving size is 1/2 ounce (about 1 cup when puffed); however with Chef Piggy Tail's Microwave Pork Rinds you can cook and eat as many or as few pork rinds as you want. No waste. Empty package onto a microwave approved plate. Spread the pellets so they won't stack up on top of each other. Consider your first batch to be a test batch. This is because microwave ovens cook at different rates. Start with a time of 3 minutes. (If you cook less than the whole package example ¼ cup will puff in 90 seconds in the microwave) If some of the pellets don't puff up all the way or if a few burn adjust the time up or down by ten or fifteen seconds. They don't make any noise as they puff up. When they finish cooking they will snap cracklin' and pop! This will continue for a few seconds. Let sit for about 30 seconds after cooking to achieve that crunchy taste. If you pop up more than you can eat keep them in a zip lock bag for later.
