Organic whole grain yellow grits offer more nutrition and fiber than processed grits. Since cooking time is longer we are sharing our convenient way to prepare them for you and your family. First we have added all of the seasoning so that you can enjoy them Southern style. Next we suggest preparing them in a 1 1/2 quart slow cooker. That's all there is to serving perfect grits every time.
DIRECTIONS: We suggest cooking in a 1 1/2 quart slow cooker. Pour 1 C into the slow cooker and add 2 1/4 cups water. Select the low setting and cook 4 hours (or overnight to enjoy in the morning). To prepare on the stove top, bring 2 1/2 cups of water to a boil. Pour in 1 C of seasoned grits, stir, turn down heat to low and cover. Cook for 45 minutes, stir occasionally to keep from sticking. Remove cover and stir until the grits are thick and creamy. Enjoy!
