Summer is the right time for a fresh blackberry cobbler!
Developed from a family recipe, my father's favorite fruit cobbler should be served warm. There's nothing like a warm bowl of black berry cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Just follow our easy and quick recipe:
DIRECTIONS: Layer fresh fruit filling or a 20-oz can of pie filling in a greased 8x8 inch pan. Combine 1 cup of milk and cobbler mix to create batter and pour evenly over pie filling. Bake at 350 for 30 min or until golden brown. Berry delicious!
How to make a fresh blackberry pie filling. Combine the following ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook down until tender and thickened:
4-6 cups of chopped, ripe blackberries
1-2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup white sugar
Pinch of salt
1/2 - 2 teaspoons of spices, if desired
1 tablespoon unsalted butter.
