Our microwave pork rinds are produced in North Carolina. The best way to learn how to cook them is to put 1/4 cup on a paper plate or paper towel and set the microwave for 2 minutes on high. 1/4 cup of microwave pork rinds will make approximately 2 cups of puffed pork rinds when cooked. Watch them cook thru the window and stop the microwave when they quite puffing. This will be the optimum cooking time for your unit. Let them cool for 30 seconds to increase the crunchy texture before eating. Microwave Pork Rinds are safe to store at room temperature (do not refrigerate or freeze) and remain favorable for 12 months. Want to cook more, then bake them in your oven. Spread any amount on a cookie sheet and bake at 450 F. For the first batch start checking them on a regular basis after they have cooked for 4 minutes. It takes 5 minutes in our oven. When puffed remove from oven and allow to cool. Once cooled completely store the remainder in a zip lock bag. If you are dieting and want a 100 calorie snack, just measure out one cup after they are cooked. If you want to keep carbs low, you can also use a rolling pin and crush them up in a zip lock back and use as a no carb breading. Our plain microwave pork rinds have no carbs and very little fat.
